Holiday destination

Wiek, formerly a fishing village, is now a small state-approved resort on Rügen's Wittow peninsula. Wiek has a beautiful harbor, various shops, bakery, restaurants, boat and bike rentals, as well as a doctor and bank. A surf school, a 6-hole golf course, and a riding stable are also in the vicinity. From Wiek, the island can be explored by bike, on foot, or by car at any time of the year: e.g. day trips to Cape Arkona with its three lighthouses.
