Holiday destination
Wiek, formerly a fishing village, is now a small state-approved resort on Rügen's Wittow peninsula.
Wiek has a beautiful harbor, various shops, bakery, restaurants, boat and bike rentals, as well as a doctor and bank. A surf school, a 6-hole golf course, and a riding stable are also in the vicinity.
From Wiek, the island can be explored by bike, on foot, or by car at any time of the year:
e.g. excursions to Cape Arkona with its three lighthouses and to the little fishing village of Vitt, steamboat trips out to the Störtebeker Festival on the Ralswiek open-air stage, trips to the Königsstuhl, to Rügen's famous chalk-lined coast and to Lake Hiddensee. The island's capital, Bergen, has several shopping centres.

Wir waren mit unseren Enkelkinder zum ersten Mal auf der Insel Rügen . Schon beim öffnen der Tür waren wir völlig begeistert von der Unterkunft. Es war einfach perfekt hell und top gepflegt. Es fehlte an absolut gar nichts .
DieLage für uns genial. Zum Hafen von Wiek nur wenige Meter , Bäcker gleich in der Nähe und eine Edeka ebenfalls gleich um die Ecke . Ansonsten weg vom Massentourismus - ein schöner kleiner verschlafener Urlaubsort . Ideal zum entspannen im schönen Gaten nach einem erlebnisreichen Urlaubstag.
Der Strand in Juliusruh war wunderschön und ca. 5 km entfernt was aber kein Problem darstellt. Die vielen Ausflungsmöglichkeiten auf der Insel haben wir bei dem perfekten Sommerwetter leider nur zum Teil genutzt aber wir kommen wieder und danke für den perfekten Urlaub

Diese Ferienwohnung war super sauber und sehr gut Ausgestattet. Es war alles da was man gebraucht hat und noch einiges mehr zum Beispiel einen Kaffee Vollautomat, darüber haben wir uns sehr gefreut. Der Garten schön groß und gepflegt. Wir hatten einen Hund dabei der sich sehr darüber gefreut hat. Alles in allem S E H R empfehlenswert.
