Holiday destination
Agriturismo Vinci is located in a picturesque region of Tuscany known as Chianti Classico, where world famous Chianti wines are produced. The village we are near, Gaiole in Chianti, is at the center of the original Chianti region, first defined in 1716.
A short drive away are a surprising variety of historic castles and villages well worth a visit, Florence and Siena are both less than an hour away.
Getting there
If you are coming by car and have a GPS, enter "Via Guglielmo Marconi, Gaiole in Chianti, Italy". Coming from the north, take the autostrada A1 towards Rome. About 35 km after Florence, take the exit Val D'Arno (Valdarno) and drive in the direction of Montevarchi. Once in Montevarchi, follow the signs to Siena or Gaiole. It will take about 25 minutes to reach Gaiole.
Once in Gaiole, follow the main street through the village, and then follow the signs toward Barbischio onto Via Guglielmo Marconi. The entrance to our estate is about 500 meters from the center of Gaiole, marked by a "Vinci" / "Le Contrade" sign.

Das Apartment Onda im Acriturismo Vinci in der Region Chianti ist ein Geheimtipp. Die ganze Woche war ein Genuss. Wir haben uns mit den Köstlichkeiten aus der Region verwöhnen lassen. Wer im Apartment nicht selber kochen möchte, das Restaurant La Contrade ist gleich nebenan. Es soll eines der Besten in der Region sein, was ich sofort unterschreiben würde. Ich schätze es sehr, wenn das Hotelpersonal sich selten blicken lässt und dennoch alles sauber und perfekt ist. Wir haben vom Lieferdienst am Morgen gebrauch gemacht. Das rustikale Apartment hat Scharm und ist simple aber stilvoll eingerichtet. Internet, TV, alles ist vorhanden. Auch ein Chminée mit Holz steht zur Verfügung für die, die es mögen. Der Ausblick von der eigenen Gartenterrasse ist traumhaft, vor allem beim Sonnenuntergang ;-)
