Holiday destination

Agriturismo Vinci is located in a picturesque region of Tuscany known as Chianti Classico, where world famous Chianti wines are produced. The village we are near, Gaiole in Chianti, is at the center of the original Chianti region, first defined in 1716. A short drive away are a surprising variety of historic castles and villages well worth a visit, Florence and Siena are both less than an hour away.

Getting there

If you are coming by car and have a GPS, enter "Via Guglielmo Marconi, Gaiole in Chianti, Italy". Coming from the north, take the autostrada A1 towards Rome. About 35 km after Florence, take the exit Val D'Arno (Valdarno) and drive in the direction of Montevarchi. Once in Montevarchi, follow the signs to Siena or Gaiole. It will take about 25 minutes to reach Gaiole. Once in Gaiole, follow the main street through the village, and then follow the signs toward Barbischio onto Via Guglielmo Marconi. The entrance to our estate is about 500 meters from the center of Gaiole, marked by a "Vinci" / "Le Contrade" sign.

Die Wohnung Drago ist sehr grosszügig gestaltet und bietet zwei Personen viel Platz. Das Bad ist ebenfalls sehr geräumig. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgerüstet. Der Aussenbereich mit Grünfläche ist durch Blumen und Sträucher wunderbar abgeschirmt. Eine Pergola (windgeschützt) spendet tagsüber Schatten und lädt auch abends zum verweilen ein. Das Restaurant mit einer vorzüglichen Küche und eine Pizzeria mit Bar sind nur wenige Schritte entfernt.

Wer es liebt, einen ungestörten Urlaub in der Toscana zu verbringen, dem kann ich den Agriturismo Vinci empfehlen. In der gemütlich eingerichteten Wohnung fehlt es an nichts. Das Frühstück kann man sich bringen lassen, kochen kann man selbst oder man sucht das ausgezeichnet geführte, gegenüberliegende Restaurant Le Contrade auf und geniesst dort die sehr schmackhaften, abwechslungsreichen und vom Meisterkoch Andrea Oppo hervorragend und liebevoll zubereiteten Menüs in sehr gemütlicher Atmosphäre. Ich habe es genossen, im See zu schwimmen und mich dabei an dem auf mich parkartig wirkenden Waldgebiet zu erfreuen. Wer die unberührte Natur sucht, der ist hier am richtigen Ort. Wegen der Schönheit der Landschaft habe ich Vinci schon des Öfteren aufgesucht, ich bin immer wieder von neuem begeistert.
