The kilometer-long fine sandy beach is perfect for long walks on the beach, and the Apuan Alps Nature Park offers numerous hiking trails and mountain bike tours.
Holiday destination
The road leads uphill, offering magnificent views of the sea, which with its long fine sandy beaches and beach resorts is only about 8 km away. A larger free stretch of beach is about 9 km away.
In the elegant Forte dei Marmi, there is a large market every Wednesday where you can find many bargains, but of course, you can also shop luxuriously in the numerous boutiques from Armani to Prada.
About 20 km away in the bustling Viareggio, there is a large and interesting marina with the most expensive luxury yachts and the corresponding shipyards.
Il Piccolo Paradiso is also an ideal starting point for visits to the Tuscan art cities, which are quickly accessible thanks to the good motorway connections.
Carrara, the city of white marble, is not far away, and there are regular boat services to the Cinque Terre during the summer months.
Beautiful hiking trails in the mountains with breathtaking views start at about 8 km away.
Getting there
Drive to the Massa/Montignoso exit. Shortly after the exit, turn right towards Mare/Marina di Massa until you reach the beach road.
Turn left here and after exactly 4.8 km, turn left at the traffic light. Stay on this road (Viale Marina) until you reach the large traffic light intersection with Via Aurelia. Continue straight ahead and follow this road uphill until you turn left towards Serra.
Follow the winding road uphill and at the fork, turn left onto the narrow, downhill Via dei Fiori. Drive past your holiday home to a turning point after a left curve, about 300 meters away, and then back to the driveway to Piccolo Paradiso.
