Holiday destination

Our lovely holiday apartment Friedrichs 33 is located in the renowned Amelander Paradijs in the town of Buren. Buren on the beautiful island of Ameland, also known as "Waddendiamant Ameland," offers you shops, restaurants, and cafes. An indoor swimming pool, as well as two supermarkets, are also available and within a few minutes' walk. Both young and old have been enjoying a great bowling area since 2017, as well as the opportunity to play mini-golf. Buren is surrounded by meadows and nature reserves and is only a few hundred meters from the extensive sandy beach. Ameland is known for its many beautiful bicycle paths. A bicycle rental shop (about 100 meters away) has an excellent selection of various bikes ready for you.

Getting there

Getting to the ferry terminal in Holwerd from all directions is conveniently done by car. If you wish to take your car to the island, we recommend making a reservation in advance at www.wpd.nl. If you prefer to travel by train, your usual destination station will be Leeuwarden - from there, you can quickly and comfortably travel to Holwerd by taxi for about 40 euros or even more affordably by bus. Depending on traffic, the taxi ride takes about 30 minutes, while the bus will take around 50 minutes.
