Our quaint apartment complex is peacefully situated, just about 150 meters from the center of the village Buren. The supermarket, bakery, a café, and restaurant are only a few minutes' walk away. The beach is also within walking distance, approximately 15 minutes away. The apartment features a small infrared sauna. Additionally, on the ground floor of the complex, there is a Finnish sauna available for your complimentary use.
The spacious living-dining room includes a dining area for 6 people and comfortable seating with a 2-seater and 3-seater sofa, as well as a flat-screen TV with Smart TV functionality. Streaming Netflix is possible using your own account. A DVD player is provided, and various games are available for your entertainment. The open kitchenette is fully equipped with all the conveniences you need for your holiday.
The apartment has 2 bedrooms. The first bedroom comes with two box-spring beds and a bathroom with an infrared sauna and a corner shower. The second bedroom also has two box-spring beds and its own bathroom, equipped with a washbasin and whirlpool. Both bedrooms have wardrobes. A separate toilet offers the necessary privacy.
The penthouse is generously laid out. A glass wall spanning the entire width of the building ensures optimal light - making the living-kitchen-dining area beautifully bright. A balcony door allows access from the living room to the roof terrace, which is furnished with comfortable patio furniture. From there, enjoy the lovely view and relax on the garden loungers even after a sauna session in the summer.

Our penthouse is located in the Aparthotel Kooiker in the small village of Buren and is only about 150 meters away from the center of Buren. The supermarket, bakery, a café, and restaurant are just a few minutes' walk away. The beach is also within walking distance, approximately 15 minutes away. From the apartment, you can start great cycling tours or simply go for a walk in the evening to enjoy a delicious meal.
You can comfortably reach the ferry terminal in Holwerd by car from all directions. If you wish to take your car to the island, we recommend making a car reservation in advance at www.wpd.nl.
If you prefer to travel by train, your usual destination station will be Leeuwarden - from there, you can quickly and comfortably take a taxi to Holwerd for about 40 euros, or even more affordably by a subsequent bus ride. The taxi ride takes approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic, while the bus will take about 50 minutes.
