Holiday destination
Kerames is a traditional, historical village with about 150 inhabitants. All streets of the village lead to the main square of Kerames village. Here you can have a coffee in peace and admire the waterfalls or fountains. In the village there is a "corner store" and restaurants.
Around the village there are beautiful and clean beaches, such as Preveli, Triopetra or Ligres.
Hiking trails offer many possibilities to explore the wonderful area with its special flora and fauna also on foot.
The small town of Spili with various shopping facilities, pharmacy, taverns, cafes, monastery worth seeing and historic Venetian fountain is only 14 kilometers away. The pretty and worth seeing harbor town of Rethymnon in the north of the island is 45 kilometers away and is certainly worth a day trip.
The traditional town is a witness of a long history, which goes back to 2000 - 2600 BC. In this period the ancient city of Kionia was built. After the decline of the Minoan rule and their cities, of which Kionia was one, and after many pirate raids, the city moved higher up the hills. The ruins of the ancient city can be found on a hill above the beach of Pyrgos.
Getting there
You can reach Crete from Germany, but also Switzerland or Austria comfortably from many airports. The nearest airport with 99 km distance is in Chania, but also from Heraklion airport with 113 km distance it is easily accessible.
From the airport we can arrange a rental car for you, so that you can reach the villa comfortably.
Another option is to travel by ferry from Venice and Ancona.

Die Hausherren sind der Wahnsinn. Sie haben 2x während unseres 1wöchigen Aufenthalts für uns 6 Erwachsene gekocht. Es war alles super lecker und für uns nicht selbstverständlich. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und konnten das Haus mit seinen ganzen Annehmlichkeiten sehr genießen.
Vor allem die ruhige Lage und der Ausblick haben sehr gut getan. Vielen Dank an Nektaria und Mathaios für die tollen Gastgeschenke und das lecker
Essen!!! Wir können Euch nur weiter empfehlen.

Tolles Haus mit grandioser Aussicht! Es ist alles super schön und gepflegt und wir haben uns (Familie mit 4 Kindern) sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Abseits vom großen Tourismus, wenn auch mit teils abenteuerlichen Straßen. An den nahen Stränden waren wir stets fast allein. Der große Pool war zu jeder Tageszeit beliebt.
Alles in allem absolut zu empfehlen!
