Holiday destination
Kamilari is one of the most beautiful villages of Crete and is situated at the foot of the Psiloritis, which is the highest mountain of Crete with 2500 meters of altitude. It is only 4 km away from the 20 km long beach of Comos. In Kamilari there are about 300 inhabitants, some very good taverns, cafes and a supermarket.
The inhabitants of Kamilari are friendly and very open towards visitors and also very proud of their cosy and very popular village. If you are looking for peace and tranquility, original taverns with good Cretan cuisine and quiet rural village life, you will feel at home in Kamilari.
If you are looking for a little more hustle and bustle, the nearby Matala (about 5 km away) is the right place for a visit to the shopping street, the lively sandy beach of the bay, also for a dinner at sunset and maybe afterwards a visit to one of the music bars directly at the sea for a cocktail.
Kalamaki Beach, which is only about 2 km away from Kamilari, offers also directly on the beach delicious restaurants and also fish taverns, which invite to a dinner at sunset. In addition, the tavern owners offer free sunbeds and umbrellas directly in front of their taverns during the day, which are also open during the day to have a snack. In contrast to Matala - especially in the high season - here is even more pure idyll!
Getting there
You can reach Crete from Germany, but also Switzerland or Austria comfortably from many airports. The closest airport is in Heraklion (travel time is about one hour), but also from Chania Souda the villa can be reached in about 2 1/2 hours.
From the airport we will gladly arrange a rental car for you, so that you can reach the villa comfortably.
Another possibility is to take the ferry from Venice and Ancona.

Wir waren für 9 Nächte in der Villa Kori. Es ist eine wunderschöne Villa die perfekt für 4 Personen ist. Wir haben sie zu zweit genutzt, was auch super war. Im Außenbereich ist ausreichend Platz zum sonnen und entspannen. Der Innenbereich ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Durch Satelliten TV steht einem gemütlichen Fernseherabend ebenfalls nichts im Wege. Es gab zwei Kaffeemaschinen, von denen die eine leider nicht funktioniert hat. Ansonsten alles Wichtige in der Küche vorhanden. Mit Maryianna als Ansprechpartnerin verlief die Schlüsselübergabe problemlos. Auch wenn wir Fragen hatten konnten wir ihr jederzeit schreiben, was wir als sehr angenehm empfunden haben. Alles in allem ein wundervoller Urlaub - wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben heuer zum 2. Mal 2 Wochen in der Villa Kori verbracht (Ehepaar plus Tochter) und sind restlos begeistert; es passt einfach alles: die moderne, geschmackvolle Ausstattung, die exzellente Lage, der Pool, der Service (wenn nötig);
Kamilari ist ein entzückender Ort, nicht überlaufen, mit hervorragenden authentischen Tavernen. Jederzeit wieder!
