We offer boat trips directly from Sant Ambroggio to the Natural Park of Scandola and the fishing village of Girolata, to the beach of Saleccia and Cap Corse, or for an aperitif at sunset in the bay of Calvi.
Holiday destination
The surrounding area offers all kinds of water sports (boat trips directly from the port of Sant Ambroggio, diving school, boat rental in the village), the beach is very suitable for small children as it slopes very shallowly, snorkelling is possible at the edge of the beach in the rocks. The complex is a perfect starting point for walks and hikes in the immediate area but also mountain walks (GR20) only 20 minutes away. About 100m away there is a small supermarket with bakery and a café, at the harbour various small shops and restaurants. About 15 minutes drive away are the small towns of Calvi and Ile Rousse.
In July and August there is a large seawater swimming pool at the harbour which is free of charge. In Calvi about 15 minutes away there is an indoor swimming pool.
Clubs and discos can also be found in Calvi and Ile Rousse, restaurants and snacks can be found on site and also in the nearest village Algajola about 5 minutes away.
Sant Ambroggio is also a very good starting point for hikes and excursions, a small train connects the village with Calvi and Ile Rousse and all the beaches in the area.
