Welcome to Sölvesborg.
Sölvesborg with its 17,000 inhabitants can be classified as a small Scanian/Danish town. The town was built in the protection of the fortress that gave the settlement its name. The town's network of streets also dates from the Middle Ages.
You'll find some nice little shops and several cosy cafés in the crooked little alleyways of the town.
The Listerland peninsula is largely made up of a lowland landscape where the region's characteristic fishing villages huddle together on the bay of Hanö. The legendary island of Hanö is a very popular holiday destination. You can reach it on the ferry from Nogersund.

There are plenty of different events on offer in Sölvesborg.
The biggest events in the area include the Sweden Rock Festival in June, the
Killebom Festival beginning of July, the Hällevik trad jazz festival in August and the well-visited Christmas market in Slottslängorna.
Visit the unique Listerlandet peninsular nearby - it's home to various picturesque fishing villages that are ranged along the coast like a string of pearls. There's a proper maritime atmosphere there with the scent of the sea and seaweed, the sound of chugging fishing boats, the cries of seagulls in the air and the delicious sight of freshly smoked seafood in the local smokehouses.
Further day trip destinations in the local area include the Mörrumsån salmon river with the Laxens Hus ("The Salmon's House") that has some of the best fishing waters in the whole of the Blekinge region. Karlshamn entices visitors in with its range of shops and the interesting "Kreativum" science museum for little scientists.

Das Haus ist urig und gemütlich eingerichtet. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl und es bietet genügend Platz für eine Familie. Die Umgebung ist perfekt zum Radeln, zum Walken. Auch der Whirlpool auf der Terrasse ist genial zum Entspannen. Man hat im Garten genügend Platz zum Ball spielen etc. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Schönes, gepflegtes Ferienhaus. Sehr schön gelegen direkt am Wald, sehr ruhige Lage und zum wunderschönen, flachen Strand sind es nur wenige Minuten. Wir haben es sehr genossen.
