The independent "House Finca" is located in the Cascina Borchina and extends over two floors. Within the spacious house elegance and simplicity coexist, while nature is reflected by their materials. These materials have been carefully selected with great attention to detail. Among others you will find marble, travertine, granite, slate, natural stone, recycled wood, old bricks. The result is a blend of contemporary splendor, anchored in elements of fascinating tradition. The large windows on both levels give you the opportunity to have a magnificent view of the lake and to be hugged by the sun's rays. You have sun from morning to late afternoon.
Our "house finca" is intended for a couple, a small family or friends. On the ground floor the house has a large kitchen. The high-quality kitchen unit is equipped with refrigerator, freezer, 5 gas hob, convection oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, glasses and cutlery and kitchen utensils. There is also a bathroom with shower, a dining area with massive wooden table with 6 comfortable wooden chairs and a comfortable living area with sofa and TV (satellite TV for German speaking TV channels), as well as a small room with table and chairs to read or enjoy the view invites. Antique wardrobe and seating for 4 people.
On the upper level are two bedrooms (one with a large balcony) and another bathroom with a stone shower. The "house finca" has a terrace on the ground floor and a private garden. This consists of a large plot with a private stone cave, in which an iron table and chairs are, as well as several sun loungers with a support.
The stone cave and the private garden are surrounded by lemon trees, rosemary, oak, sage, lavender, thyme and mint.

Cascina Borchina, everyone is welcome, but not recommended for small children, as there are many walls and stairs in the garden.
Noteworthy is the fact that there are no other houses near Cascina Borchina, you can not hear and see any cars (only those of the guests).

Maccagno is a famous holiday destination from spring to late autumn, due to its proximity to the border with Switzerland (about 6 km). Maccagno is a small town on the Lago Maggiore, which offers a lot: free climber in every season right on the rocks on the Lago, hiking and cycling (road bike and mountain bike) and the famous market on Wednesday in Luino (about 5 km away) .You can Visiting the Museum of Contemporary Art, taking long walks on the lake, swimming, boating, pedal boating, beach volleyball or tennis, (on the lake) or dining in good restaurants and pizzerias. The nearest restaurant is 1.5 km from the finca. In spring, summer and autumn, Maccagno offers departures by boat to Stresa, Cannobbio, Locarno and the Borromean Islands and many other beautiful places. Cascina Borchina is ideal for long walks, hikes and free climbers, but also in the cities shopping and sightseeing. By car: Lugano (Switzerland) is only 35 minutes, Locarno (Switzerland) 30 minutes, Milan in about 1:20 by car or train,, Lake Como, about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Near Lugano there is also an Outlett with over 80 shops, which is open all year.
Maccagno has a post office, a pharmacy, a bank and a supermarket, a laundry and a car-sharing service, several well-developed climbing walls for free climbers.

Cascina Borchina can be reached by car in about 10 minutes from Maccagno and its beaches (about 4 km from the hill). You have to climb up the hill for about 10 minutes. Before Campagnano turn into a forest road. Finca Cascina Borchina is located on a hill and offers breathtaking views of Lake Maggiore and in words it is really hard to describe. That's why we've taken a lot of pictures (all from our estate, not from viewpoints) so you can have a true idea of our views and land. After all, it is only part of what we offer. We assure you that it is much nicer in "reality"!
