Holiday destination
The house is part of a private owner's complex, located in a picturesque natural park. The park is part of a protected landscape area and is not commercially utilized. It captivates with its charming location on a hill above Lake Garda, surrounded by ancient trees and offering a magnificent view reminiscent of the Tuscan landscape. Within the complex, there is a swimming pool (operational approximately from May 1st to September 30th) and a tennis court, both of which are available free of charge. A caretaker lives permanently on the premises (House 33), who is not responsible for private rentals but can be called upon in emergencies. Two excellent restaurants are just a few minutes' walk away. Despite its tranquil location, the complex is only a 5-minute drive from the town of Garda and the lake with its diverse leisure and sports activities. The nearest towns, Costermano and Albare, are reachable by car in 3 minutes and offer various shopping facilities as well as a selection of good restaurants with local cuisine. The small picturesque lakeside towns, such as Malcesine, Torri de Benaco, Bardolino, Lacise, Limone, and others, are charming destinations for excursions. Regional highlights, such as Venice and Milan, are just an hour and a half away by car. Verona, with its architectural wonders from Roman times (e.g., Arena di Verona), is only about a 30-minute drive away.

Da uns kurzfristig eine andere Wohnung abgesagt wurde, waren wir sehr froh über das neue Haus und die persönliche Betreuung. Es waren die notwendigsten Lebensmittel schon vorhanden, was immer sehr hilfreich ist. Es gab zur Begrüßung eine Flasche Wasser und eine Flasche Wein, danke. Wir kochen gern, da half eine sehr gute Küchenausstattung mit genug Geschirr. Sonst war alles sehr sauber und die nötigen Wäschepakete lagen bereit. Im Haus gibt es Spiele, Reiseführer und Bücher. Die Gegend um Garda mit kleinen Weihnachtsmärkten war sehr schön. Es wurde für uns vorgeheizt, da es im Winter nachts doch recht kalt ist. Silvester hatten wir einen sehr guten Rundumblick. Alles in Allem eine schöne gewachsene Anlage, mit sehr guter Gaststätte direkt am Wohnpark.

Eines der wenigen positiven Dinge im Haus waren die Matratzen. Und der große Parkplatz. Die Anlage ist gepflegt, aber in die Jahre gekommen. Im Haus gibt keine Möglichkeit der Klimatisierung. Es sind lediglich einfach verglaste Fenster. Wir waren im Juli dort und hatten durchweg mehr als 30 Grad im Hochparterre trotz tagsüber geschlossener Fenster und Fensterläden. Die Küche, insbesondere die Geräte (Ofen), und auch die Böden im ganzen Haus waren nicht gereinigt. Die Küchenausstattung (Bestecke) waren eine lose Schüttung. Ein Insektenschutz (Fliegengitter) existiert nur am Küchen- und an zwei Schlafzimmerfenstern. Das Haus verfügt über eine sehr kleine, ungepflegte Terrasse, die nicht zum Verweilen einlud. Die vorhandenen Gartenmöbel sind alt und teilweise verrostet. Für 170 EUR pro Nacht eine Frechheit.
