Holiday destination

The sandy beaches of the Etruscan Coast, especially those of the Cecina Mare locality, are just a 10 minute drive. The position is strategic because all of Tuscany’s most beautiful localities are within easy reach. The Pisa Airport is very accessible, about thirty minutes by car. Florence and Siena are about an hour away by car, while Volterra and San Gimignano can be reached in half an hour. There are also several small ancient burgs and villages nearby that are definitely worth a visit. Bolgheri first of all: one approaches this ancient town along a magnificent avenue flanked exclusively by cypress trees, the only one of its kind in Europe. Bolgheri has become world-renowned as the place where Sassicaia wine is produced. The production of wine and olive oil is the main activity in the area.
