Cancellation policy
Cancellation Guarantee:
If at the time of travel the Makkum Beach Resort, the province of Friesland, or the entire Netherlands should be locked down, we would not be able to fulfill our part of the contract "providing a holiday home". As a result, you would receive a full refund of all payments made, provided you have not yet arrived.
Otherwise, the following conditions apply:
Up to 42 days before the arrival date, 50% of the invoice amount is due.
In case of a later cancellation, the full invoice amount is due.
Dear guests, if a cancellation occurs, we will definitely find a mutually agreeable solution. We always strive to realize a replacement rental and in this case, we would charge only the reduced earnings and a flat fee of 50€. We would then waive the above-mentioned costs!!!

Other recreational opportunities
Makkum Beach Resort offers an excellent range of leisure activities including mini-golf, e-bike rental, bicycles, pedal karts, canoes, motorboats, and much more. Additionally, a trip to see the seals or a visit to the cheese market in Alkmaar is highly recommended. The surrounding water sports towns like Workum or Harlingen are also beautiful.
Holiday destination
The "Makkum Beach Resort" is located right on the Ijsselmeer and, with its vast, flat, superbly maintained sandy beaches and its beach promenade, invites children to play and adults to engage in water sports or to rest and relax.
Water sports options such as surfing, catamaran sailing, kite surfing with training and rental services offer a variety of leisure activities.
Bicycle, go-kart, pedal boat, motorboat rental.
Getting there
Arrival is possible both from the direction of Osnabrück/Bremen and from the Ruhr area via the A31 up to Meppen. Then take the direction to Meppel onto the A37. Continue on the A32 towards Heerenveen. From there, take the A7 towards Sneek/Amsterdam until the Makkum exit. From there, it's only 10 minutes to the fourth roundabout into Villapark Makkumerstrand.
Travel time from Osnabrück is approximately 2:45 hours if you stick to the speed limits ;-)

Das Ferienhaus ist liebevoll eingerichtet, mit allem was die Familie mit Hund so braucht.
Wir hatten eine super Woche und es fehlte an nichts. Es gab Action in Form von Fahrradtouren, Kanufahrten und Spielmöglichkeiten direkt gegenüber für die Kinder. Der Strand war schnell erreicht und am Abend in der hauseigenen Sauna Entspannung angesagt. Unsere Urlaubswoche ging viel zu schnell vorbei. Fertig nächste Urlaub ist in Planung.
Vielen Dank an unsere Vermieter Familie Humburg für die unkomplizierte Kommunikation und die Möglichkeit in Makkum einen wunderschönen Urlaub zu verbringen.

In diesem wunderschönen Haus was alles beinhaltet was man sich nur wünschen kann möchte man nicht nur Urlaub machen sondern am liebsten wohnen. Hervorragend ausgestattet und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Ein Blick von der Terrasse aufs Wasser sehr beruhigend. Wir haben uns prächtig erholt. Ganz liebe Grüße an unsere Gastgeber Familie Humburg.
