Holiday destination
Only 18 minutes from Freiburg and 10 min. from the health resort Kirchzarten away with all the shopping-options. This holiday house is located in the beautiful St. Wilhelmer valley below a natural waterfall with hunting lodge. The valley of old farm buildings with flat and steep hiking-opportunities (max. height 750 meters walk), ends at the alpine wall of the Feldberg-massif and has Germany's highest mountain goats wild population. The "Napf", a few minutes walk and the "Holzfallerstube" at the entrance of the valley, Erlenbacher hut and St. Wilhelmer hut invite as hiking destination with typical Black Forest dishes. The mountain wildlife park "Steinwasen", a biathlon track and ski lifts are also located in the immediate surroundings.
Getting there
A5 Karlsruhe Basel - exit Freiburg center. From then on the B31 towards Donaueschingen. After Kappler tunnel take the exit to Kirchzarten. Then continue towards Oberried. After Oberried there are 4 km road curving to High Bridge. Turn left into St. Wilhelmer valley. After about about 2 kilometres (road sign "Feldbergstr. 9 + 10") turn on the left. Pass the farm on the right. Here is your holiday house.

Selbst 5 Wochen sind in der Nachbetrachtung zu kurz !! Viele schöne und erholsame Tage in diesem außergewöhnlichen Ferienhaus zur besten Sommerzeit. Auch das Wetter war wieder mal überragend. Die besondere Atmosphäre, das alte familiäre Flair der gesamten Anlage ist immer wieder ein besonderes Erlebnis. Auch weil der Vermieter selbst dazu beiträgt, dass die Tage unter dem Feldberg in bester Erinnerung bleiben werden. Auf ein Neues im nächsten Jahr, wir freuen uns schon darauf. Eigentlich können wir uns nur den vielen positiven Bewertungen unserer Vorgänger anschließen ! Im Haus ist einfach alles vorhanden, was einen schönen Urlaub ausmacht. Die vielen Wandermöglichkeiten ab Haustür, verbunden mit den bekannten Sehenswürdigkeiten des Schwarzwaldes , als auch die Lage der Ferienhütte im St.Wilhelmer Tal setzen den entspannten Tagen das Sahnehäubchen auf. Der gepflegte Garten mit morgendlicher Atmosphäre unterm Feldberg und Abendblick zum Schauinsland hat zu jeder Tageszeit seine Reize und hält für ornithologisch Interessierte ein Kleinod parat. Während unseres einwöchigen Aufenthaltes konnte ich neunzehn verschiedene Singvogelarten beobachten. (auch die seltene Ringdrossel) Bleibt ein schöner Urlaub und Dank an den Vermieter ! Wir nehmen die Bilder mit !
