The Schlei town of Kappeln offers wonderful shopping and good restaurants. Boat trips on the Schlei start here.
Visit the lighthouses and historic mills. In the beautiful rum city of Flensburg you'll find many interesting museums, such as the shipping museum or the Phänomenta. A day trip to the west coast gives you a chance to witness the North Sea ebb and flow. The Multimar Wattformu has much information on this and the Wadden Sea national park. A must for children is an excursion to Legoland / Billund in Denmark.

Wir haben uns bei Familie Birkhoven sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus bietet alles, was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub benötigt. Die ruhige und Wald nahe Lage haben uns und unserem Hund besonders gut gefallen. Trotzdem ist man auch schnell z.B. in Kappeln. Alles auch sehr gut mit dem Fahrrad möglich.
Herr Birkhoven konnte uns wertvolle Tipps geben und war sehr hilfreich.
Schön, dass es noch solche Urlaubsmöglichkeiten gibt.
Wir würden es ohne jede Zweifel weiterempfehlen.

wir durften dieses Jahr ein kleines Jubiläum feiern: seit 10 Jahren sind wir mittlerweile Gäste der Familie. Nach wie vor fühlen wir uns sehr wohl und sehr gut aufgehoben.
Das Haus und die ganze Gegend ist einfach nur traumhaft schön und bietet uns jede Menge erholsamer Tage an. Wir fahren jedesmal mit vollen Akkus nach Hause und freuen uns immer wieder auf eine Erholung in Hasselberg. Das einzige was wir bemängeln ist, dass die Zeit so unheimlich schnell vergeht, aber dagegen ist man machtlos. Viele liebe Grüße in den hohen Norden
