In the immediate vicinity of Walcheren, there are protected natural areas such as de Mantelinge, Oranjezon, or the Veerse Forest. We recommend a visit to Middelburg, the Abbey of "Onze-Lieve-Vrouwe" and the Stadhuis (Town Hall), as well as the "Zeeuws Museum" (Museum of the province of Zeeland). Also worth a detour is the adventure park Miniatuur Walcheren, where the most important sights of the Walcheren peninsula have been recreated at a scale of 1:20.
