The 5 star country house villa Mayerhof is located in the heart of the small village of Glashütten (district v. Rickenbach) at an altitude of 840 m in the sunny Hotzenwald nature park in the southern Black Forest, surrounded by hills, meadows and forests.
The Mayerhof is located near the border triangle between Germany, Switzerland and France. Trips to the Rhine valley are recommended, as well as to the historic old towns of Bad Säckingen and Laufenburg, as well as the old towns of Basel, Zurich or Colmar (Fr).

By train: Bad Säckingen station
By car from north coming on the A5 Karlsruhe - Basel motorway. Exit Weil am Rhein on A98 towards Lörrach. Exit Lörrach-Mitte on the B317 towards Schopfheim. Turn left onto Wehrer Straße. Continue in the direction of Wehr on the B518. Turn left to Wehr. Stay on the main road through the village, drive past the station square. After about 300 meters turn right onto Waldstraße and follow the L155 for about 3.5 km. Turn left onto K6535 approx. 3 km to Rüttehof. Follow the road for approx. 2.5 km. Turn left towards Glashütten. Follow the road to the center of the village, Busstation - small fountain. House No. 9 - Welcome.

Schönes Haus, sehr geräumig. Bietet viele Annehmlichkeiten, wie schönen Kamin, große gut ausgestattete Küche. Ein Erlebnis ist auch die 3m große Kinoleinwand mit dem dazugehörigen Abspielgeräten.

Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt und mit Liebe renoviert worden. Wir sind mit drei älteren Kindern angereist. Neben der Sauna ist noch ein Hobbyraum mit Tischtennis Platte und Kicker enthalten. Weitere Gesellschaftsspiele liegen bei. Das Homekino ist an einen DVD Player angeschlossen. Per HDMI lässt sich ein Computer verbinden. Man sollte dann noch an einen guten Ton via BT denken. Die Internet Verbindung liegt bei 6 MBIT (per WLAN). O2 Handyempfang war nicht vorhanden, Telekom LTE.
Die Badezimmer sind ebenfalls sehr sauber. Die Dampfsauna haben wir nur 1x benutzt funktionierte aber einwandfrei.
Die Umgebung lädt ein zum Wandern und E-Bike fahren. In Rickenbach (3km) entfernt ist ein sehr gut ausgestatteter EDEKA vorhanden.
