Holiday destination
The "Gamla Skolan" is located amidst the nature and surrounded by forests and meadows. Just a few metres from the house are marked hiking trails. From July you can pick blueberries and mushrooms directly in front of the door. Nearby is a 18-hole golf course. The lake Vätternsee is just a few metres from our house and suitable for swimming and fishing. For all hikers, the Tiveden National Park is a must. Information and tips are available at the holiday house. A visit to the castle Karlsborg is highly recommended. Hjo, Askersund, Vadstena, Gränna, Jönköping and Habo are just a few recommendations for trips around the Vätternsee. Peter and I are happy to help, also if it should come to visits to the doctor and such likes.
Getting there
By car:
For example from Denmark take the Öresund Bridge to Sweden. Or you could go by ferry from Helsingör to Helsingborg, which takes about 20 minutes.
Take the E4 to Jonköping and then take the 195 on the western bank of the Vetternsee in northern direction. Look out for place-name signs like Hjo-Karlsborg-Askersund. Stay on the 195. Approx. 20km after Hjo you will see the place-name signs Brevik (to the right) and Tibro (to the left). Turn left towards Tibro. After 1km you can see the Gamla Skolan on the left-hand side. Welcome!

Host informationMy husband Peter, our dog Sissi and I are looking forward to welcome you at our "Gamla Skolan". We have bought this old school building, which used to be a missionary house as well, in 2008. Since then we have carefully redecorated and refurbished this house.

Wir haben unseren Urlaub mit unseren Kindern (2&8) in der "alten Schule" verbracht und es war ein bisschen wie nach Hause kommen. Es ist einfach alles vorhanden! Angefangen bei der Küchenausstattung über eine Garage bis hin zu Büchern und Spiele. Es wird an alles gedacht und man vermisst nichts!
Die Zimmeraufteilung ist super für Kinder da mehrere Schlafzimmer sogar eigene Bäder hätten! Sodass man sich auch Mal zurückziehen kann.
Die Gastgeber, Christine und Peter, sind so herzlich, Kinderlieb und haben tolle Ausflugstipps ohne aufdringlich zu sein!
Ich kann die Wohnung wärmstens allen Familien empfehlen, egal ob große oder kleine Kinder!

Wir haben zu zweit 14 Tage mit unseren beiden Vierbeinern hier verbracht.
Die Wohnung liegt traumhaft im Grünen, mit wunderschönen Wanderwegen direkt vor der Tür. Der hundesicher eingezäunte Garten war unser absolutes Highlight.
Christine und Peter haben wir als sehr herzlich, gastfreundlich und hilfsbereit kennengelernt.
Die Ferienwohnung ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen stressfreien Urlaub benötigt. Sie war tiptop sauber und ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet.
Ein Highlight ist der nahegelegene Vättern-See mit seinen langen Sandstränden. Für zwei- und vierbeinige Schwimmer perfekt.
Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder=)
