Holiday destination
Just around the corner there is a bar/pizzeria, a little grocery shop, a newsagent and a hairdresser. A very large supermarket (Esselunga) is just 1km away. Pietrasanta, Forte dei Marmi and Viareggio, with their shops, restaurants, cafés and nightlife, are only 5 minutes away by car. Not only the beach, but also the Apuan Alps, where you can go hiking or visit for example the cave of Corchia, are nearby. Moreover, it is perfectly located to reach one of Tuscany's historic cities (like Pisa, Lucca or Florence) by car or train as well. Special artistic / cultural activities: "La Versiliana" - "Puccini Festival" - "Lucca Summer Festival" - Lucca Comics in Autumn - Viareggio Carnival in February
Getting there
From Pisa airport: by train to Viareggio (15 minutes), then by taxi or by bus (10 minutes) - by car from the airport to Focette (25 minutes) From Florence airport: by taxi or by bus to Florence train station (10 minutes), then by train to Viareggio (1 and a half hours), then by taxi or by bus (10 minutes). By car from Northern Italy you can drive from Genova via the A11 towards Livorno, or from Milano via the A1, or from Florence via the A12.

Wir Drei haben uns in der kleinen Villa in direkter Strandnähe sehr wohl gefühlt. Paolo hat uns herzlich empfangen, uns prima Tipps gegeben und wir haben uns gefühlt wie in einer Familie. Das Häuschen ist super praktisch eingerichtet, eine schöne italienisch anmutende Küche mit gemütlichem Esstisch, davor der schattige Sitzplatz im Freien. Die Räume haben neben den romantischen Fensterläden auch Fliegengitter, was wir sehr praktisch empfanden. Auch für die Klimaanlage waren wir an diesen heißesten Sommertagen des Jahres 2018 äußerst dankbar. Die Atmosphäre in der sehr gepflegten Villengegend und die Spaziergänge zum Strand haben unser Glück vollendet. Genauso wie die verkehrsgünstige Lage nach Pisa, Florenz, Lucca und so weiter. Wir waren sicher nicht das letzte Mal bei Paolo und seiner charmanten Mama.
