Holiday destination
Giethoorn is a quiet and romantic village on both sides of a long canal. The numerous wooden bridges, side ditches, and punter boats are characteristic of the area. It is not without reason that people call the village the “Venice of Holland”. There are also six museums (all on the Binnenpad) as well as galleries and exhibitions. There is also an indoor swimming pool in Steenwijk just 6 km away.
Getting there
Access via Meppel [see also the map below] Follow the signs to Giethoorn. You enter the town of Giethoorn via the Beulakerweg (N334). Opposite the marina, turn right at the “Dorp Centrum” sign [Bartus Warnersweg]. Then turn right at the fork in the road, and continue to follow the Bartus Warnersweg. At the end of this street, turn left. After 150 m, park your vehicle at the Grand Café Fanfare. Diagonally opposite the Grand Café Fanfare, you will see “De Boerdrie” on the other side of the village moat After walking over the small bridge, you will have reached your destination.

Host informationThis charming farm is set in the heart of the picturesque village of Giethoorn Despite being in the heart of the village, the farm feels wonderfully secluded. It is a national monument. We hope you enjoy our farm and especially take the time to sail – the scenery is truly breathtaking. Best regards, Jan Willem
