Next to the outdoor pool, right on the Elbe, there is a new playground. With the Elbewanderer bus, you can take your bicycles and explore the area of the Lower Elbe. Even without the bus you can take great cycling tours. An absolute must in the Altes Land is a visit to the beautiful churches to see the famous organs.
Holiday destination
The holiday home is located right on the Elbe dike, in the immediate vicinity of the outdoor pool. You absolutely must visit the little lighthouse museum (I am the lighthouse keeper) as well as the unique functioning mill. The beach is only 5 minutes away to sunbathe and watch the passing ships.
Getting there
From the A7, Waltershof exit toward Finkenwerder (not a toll road). Then through the Finkenwerder bypass, past the DASA grounds to the Elbe dike. Then follow the Elbe dike to Hollern-Twielenfleth (30 km), right to the holiday apartment. Or take the motorway A26, exit at Stade Ost, there turn towards Drochtersen/Wischhafen, take a right at the next crossing towards Hollern-Twielenfleth. In the village, turn toward Twielenfleth and reach the dike. The house number is 27. Or by public transport, from the Stade train station the bus 2357 goes toward Cranz, after about 15 minutes get out at the Twielenfleth Freibad stop. We are within the region of the Hamburg public transport!

Wir haben eine wunderschöne Woche in Hollern-Twielenfleth verbracht. Die Wohnung ist sehr liebevoll und gemütlich eingerichtet... hier kann man sich nur wohl fühlen. Das Wetter hat auch mitgespielt, so konnten wir tolle Fahrradtouren unternehmen. Wir kommen bestimmt mal wieder. Vielen Dank an die Gastgeber Fam. Faby
