With 95 m² our vacation home "Sonnenkap" offers optimum comfort for 5 guests and 1 toddler, featuring high-quality and carefully chosen furniture and facilities. In the living room with its five floor-to-ceiling windows and on the terrace you'll enjoy views over the fields and of the lighthouses of Cape Arkona and Kosegarten's Chapel in the fishing village Vitt.
For relaxing body and soul you'll find a sauna and two bathrooms with floor-level showers. The generously equipped kitchen opens up to the 38 m² living room area with a fireplace and home cinema.
A 24 m² wooden terrace facing south-east and equipped with teak furniture extends the living room into the garden.
Our guests especially enjoy the views of the lighthouses in the livining room and on the terrace. The sauna, the large fireplace and the individual furnishings are equally popular.

Putgarten is the northernmost of Rügen's towns and surrounded by the Baltic Sea on three sides at a distance of 700-1000 m. Its main attraction are the lighthouses at Cape Arkona. The vacation home is situated in a very quiet area at the edge of town with views of the lighthouses and across the fields. A track across the fields takes you to the beach Nordstrand 1 km away, that you can also reach by car.
At 2 km there is a parking lot at the cliffs, again with a way down to a marvelous natural beach. At 8km you'll find the beach at the Schaabe with a length of 12 km, where you can try out the famous Strandkörbe - wicker hooded beach seats. Bicycle paths extend from the Cape in every direction. At 6 km, in Altenkirchen, there are some shops.
When travelling by car, take Bundesautobahn A20, exit Stralsund. From there, it is a 29 km drive on the two-lane expressway B96 to Rügenbrücke, the bridge connecting Rügen to the mainland, and another 69 km to Putgarten.
You can also reach Rügen via bus and train. There are international bus connections to Rügen. The nearest train station is Sagard. There are train connections from many major European cities to Rügen, see www.bahn.com.
There are local buses from Sagard and from Bergen auf Rügen to Putgarten (with transfers, about once an hour, see www.vmv-mbh.de/nc/fahrplanauskunft.html). You can rent a car (www.ruegen.de/service/anreise/mobil-auf-der-insel.html) or bicycles (for example from our caretaker) for getting around on Rügen.

Ansonsten Stornokosten wie folgt (Auszug aus dem Mietvertrag): Storniert (kündigt) der Mieter den Vertrag vor dem Mietbeginn, ohne einen Nachmieter zu benennen, der in den Vertrag zu denselben Konditionen eintritt, oder kündigt der Vermieter fristlos, weil der Mieter in Zahlungsverzug gerät, sind als Entschädigung unter Anrechnung der ersparten Aufwendungen die folgenden anteiligen Mieten zu entrichten, sofern eine anderweitige Vermietung nicht möglich ist: Kündigung bis 49 Tage vor Mietbeginn: 20 % des Mietpreises, bis 35 Tage: 40 %, bis 21 Tage: 60 %, bis 14 Tage: 90 %, später als 14 Tage: 100 %. Gleichwohl ist der Vermieter bemüht, das Mietobjekt anderweitig zu vermieten. Der Mieter kann jederzeit einen geringeren Schaden nachweisen.
