Holiday destination
Otterndorf: Beautiful old town with shops and good restaurants. The holiday area with green and sandy beach on the Elbe, play barn; play area with skating rink, water skiing, surfing school, volleyball court.
Cuxhaven: Boat trips to the seal banks, to Neuwerk and Helgoland, harbour cruises, fishing port with restaurants and fresh fish sales, Watt wagon rides, long sandy beaches, Alte Liebe: Observation deck to the Elbeschifffahrtsweg.
Bremerhaven: Havenwelten, Auswand
Getting there
A27 towards Cuxhaven - exit Neuenwalde / Otterndorf.
County Road 117 at the junction turn left towards Neuenwalde. Follow this street until Neuenkirchen.
Turn right after Neuenkirchen. You drive through the village. In centre you pass a big yellow building (medical center), then the village community centre.
Next street (Kolkstraße) town sign Pedingworth 1 Km.

Wir waren als 2 Familien mit 5 Teenagern für 2 Wochen in der Ferienwohnung. Die Küche ist für 9 Leute etwas eng, aber wir haben es geschafft, nach Herzenslust zu Kochen und zu Backen. Sogar Pflaumenkuchen gab es mit vom Treetboot aus gepflückten Pflaumen.
Die jungen Leute habe das Treetbootfahren genossen und das Gassi Gehen mit den lieben Hunden. Wir alle hatten eine schöne Zeit. Haben sogar die Insel Neuwerk erwandert und ein Konzert in der Elbphilharmonie besucht.
Danke an Fam. Poernomo, dass wir da sein dürften.

Wir waren mit zehn Personen vor Ort, davon acht Kinder. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön, ausreichend groß, mit schönem Garten und Zugang zur Medem. Tretboote dürfen genutzt werden und die Kinder durften im Garten herumtollen.
Die Ausstattung der (ziemlich)kleinen Küche dürfte einmal überarbeitet werden (im Besonderen die Besteck Schublade)
Nett war auch die Einladung der Gastwirte zu einer Bootsfahrt.
Die Wohnung hat einen direkten Zugang zur privaten Wohnung der Vermieter, die diesen auch des Öftern ungefragt und auch unangemeldet genutzt haben., was mir persönlich relativ unangenehm war.
Diese Tatsache wäre für mich ein Grund, diese schöne und gepflegte Wohnung in guter Lage nicht mehr zu buchen. Wen das allerdings nicht stört, der ist im Haus Medemschipper gut aufgehoben.
