Other recreational opportunities
The Moselle valley and the hills surrounding Traben-Trarbach are an ideal hiking region all year round. The cycling paths along the Moselle span hundreds of kilometres and are mostly not near any busy roads. Airfield Mont Royal: On weekends, you can book sightseeing flights with a glider or motorised airplane. Climbing in the high rope course. Water sports, e.g. rowing, canoeing, etc..
Holiday destination
The winemaking village Wolf, a district of Traben-Trarbach, overlooks one of the most beautiful spots where the Moselle makes one of its biggest loops. Wolf with its beautiful old half-timbered houses is tucked away in a gorgeous landscape.
High above the picturesque 'Moselschleife' (Moselle loop), the locations "Goldgrube", "Sonnenlay" and the slopes of the beautiful abbey ruin "Sonnenlay" and Klosterberg produce the the famous wines. Situated on the peninsula mountain high above Traben and across from the village Wolf, are the ruins of the gigantic fortress Mont Royal.
Wolf, the village on the Moselle, has its own pier. From here you can take nice excursions to Bernkastel-Kues, Kröv, Zell, etc..

Autobahn A61, exit Rheinböllen,
from there, follow the well constructed Hunsrückhöhenstraße.

Eine wunderschöne Ferienunterkunft die Nostalgie und Moderne vereint. Es fehlte an Nichts. Die Küche war vollständig ausgestattet. Auch die anderen Zimmer waren sehr liebevoll eingerichtet mit größtenteils historischen Möbeln und Gegenständen.
Bedingt durch die Jahreszeit gab es im Ort keine Einkaufsmöglichkeit und auch das Gaststättenangebot war sehr überschaubar. 2 Gaststätten nur am Wochenende geöffnet. Die Parkmöglichkeit für 2 größere Autos war am Haus schwierig. Aber 100m die Gasse runter am Moselufer war genügend Platz, also letztlich kein Problem.
Auch die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter sowie die Buchung (alles per E-Mail) war problemlos.
Wir können diese Unterkunft sehr gern weiterempfehlen.

Ein kleines Paradies. Liebevoll und perfekt ausgestattet. Eine gute räumliche Aufteilung und super gepflegt und absolut sauber. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
