Holiday destination
The flower riviera in Liguria is named after its characteristic flower fields and markets, which are still taking place regularly today. Just 5 km from Coldirodi is the spa town San Remo, famous for the old town's maze. The breeding of cloves and roses is still an important industrial sector, therefore San Remo is called "flower city".
The medieval town Coldirodi is the perfect starting point for walking-tours or day trips to the mediterranean sea or to the Ligurian alps.
About 50km westward to Coldirodi is the french coast city Nice. The Provence is famous for its lavender fields, herbs, and excellent restaurants.
Getting there
The airport of Nice is about 49km away from our guesthouse. You can use public transport, or you can go by a rental car. If you come by car your destination is: San Remo - Coldirodi. Mister Roda, the houseowner, will welcome you at the Restaurant Gabry in Coldirodi.

Unsere Gastgeberin Beate war ausgesprochen freundlich, spricht deutsch und englisch und war jederzeit hilfsbereit. Sie hatte viele Tipps für gute Restaurants und Sehenswürdigkeiten. Die Unterkunft war absolut in Ordnung und bot alles, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt braucht. Die Landschaft ist traumhaft, die Umgebung sehr schön und ideal zum Entspannen. Die Anfahrt gestaltet sich - wie bereits in der Beschreibung erwähnt - recht abenteuerlich, dafür wurden wir aber mit einem rundum tollen Urlaub belohnt. Wir können die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Wir haben zwei wunderschöne Wochen in dieser Unterkunft verbracht. Die Gastgeberin, Beate, war außerordentlich nett und hat uns mit hervorragenden Tipps für Unternehmungen rund um Coldirodi versorgt.
Die Anfahrt zur Unterkunft ist zwar ein kleines Abenteuer, aber der Weg hat sich absolut gelohnt. Der Garten ist eine wahre Oase, gefüllt mit mediterranen Pflanzen und leckeren Kräutern, die wir zum Kochen verwenden durften.
Die Lage ist perfekt, um die Region zu erkunden: Sowohl die charmanten, typisch italienischen Dörfer im Landesinneren als auch die bekannten Küstenorte sind von hier aus gut erreichbar.
Es war ein traumhafter Urlaub und wir können diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen.
