Holiday destination
You should allow yourself a few extra minutes for the walk into the old town, after all we are on a mountain, ok - just a small sandy mountain, but a mountain is a mountain. But on the Jakobsberg we are only a stone's throw away from the historic vineyard in Hitzacker, which is one of the most northerly vineyards in Germany. Although wine was already being grown here in 1521 under ‘Ernst the Confessor’, we would still recommend Rheingau Riesling.
