The house is equipped for 7, but also very cosy for 2. As a couple you can stay in the main house, with large kitchen, sitting room, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. With more people you can use the wing which is connected to the main house and has two more bedrooms and two bathrooms.
It is an old farmhouse from 1860, which means that is "rustic and rural". No design but it is nicely and comfortably furnished with good stuff.
Lusignac is a small village with a beautiful Roman church and a lovely cafe, where we eat at least once a week. A nice walk of 15 minutes brings you there. Only 4 minutes by car. The closest shops are at 6 km, in Verteillac. Also a bank there.
The house is very cosy for a couple, with of without children, but also suitable for 2 families: in the main house master bedroom, orange room and baby room, in the wing green room with vide (2 beds) and blue room with 1,5 bed (3 bathrooms).

Lovely Perigord countryside, with beautiful long hills. Worth a visit: Riberac, Perigueux, Brantome, Angouleme, Libourne. Lovely french food in lots of restaurants. Markets, rivers to swim in and to kano. Golf, horse riding. And if you like a 2,5 hours to drive to the sea at Bordeaux.
You can fly either to Bergerac (75 km) or to Bordeaux (120 km), or drive by car of course. Mainly high way up to Angouleme, then 45 minutes good roads.

La Faurie is a typical familie home. We own it for 35 years now and still love to be there as often as we can. It is quiet there, situated on the edge of a hill and overlooking the valley. But in a short drive there are lots of villages around.
