Our holiday house "Alte Schmiede" in Osteel has been completely and lovingly refurbished in 2012/2013.
The holiday flat Greetsiel is 90m².

Holiday destination
From our location in in Osteel, you can quickly reach popular places like Greetsiel, Norddeich, Marienhafe, Nessmersiel and Dornum. The ferries to the islands Norderney, Juist and Langenoog are near by.
Withing 15 minutes by car you will reach the parking lot at Norddeich, from where you can reach the beautiful sandy beach in a few minutes on foot. Enjoy the healthy sea airin one of the many ofed wicker beach chairs.
Seal station, minigolf, water park Ocean- Wave and a big playgrounds are close by, too.
Getting there
Motorway A 31 towards Emden Mitte, leave the BAB.
Exit right to the Bundesstraße 210 (Auricher Straße) towards Aurich.
Follow the Bundesstraße 210 to Loppersum and then turn left to the Loppersummer Straße (Kreisstraße K 225) towards Wirdum.
In Wirdum the street branches off in the Kreisstraße, turn left to the Grimesumer Straße (Landesstraße L25) towards Greetsiel until Grimesumer Neuland and the end of the street.
Here turn right to the Schoonorther Straße (Landesstraße L4) towards Greetsiel/Norden.
Follow this street to the junction Reithammer Weg and turn right to the district Osteel Neue Welt.
Our holiday home with its holiday flats is situated at this junction.

Die FeWo ist modern und sauber eingerichtet. Leider gibt es keine Terrasse und der Garten ist nur umständlich hinterm Haus zu erreichen. Der Garten war aufgrund einer extremen Mücken- und Stechfliegenplage leider nicht nutzbar. Die kleine Küche verfügt über kein eigenes Fenster und erhält die Frischluft nur durchs angrenzende Bad oder über den offenen Hausflur, der in die offenen Schlafzimmer im OG reicht. Die fehlenden Fliegengitter an den Fenstern zwingen dazu, die Fenster nachts geschlossen zu halten , was bei großer Hitze unterm Dach eine echte Qual war. Das Haus liegt direkt an der zu jeder tageszeit stark befahrenen Straße. Bis 2. Uhr nachts donnerten schwere Mähdrescher am Haus vorbei. Wir haben vorzeitig abgebrochen.

Lieber Gast,
zunächst erst einmal lieben Dank, dass Sie sich Zeit genommen haben für eine Bewertung. Unsere Objektbetreuerin hätten Sie jederzeit kontaktieren können und sie hätte ihnen Insektenschutzvlies für die Fenster angebracht. Zeitgleich waren in unseren anderen beiden Wohnungen Familien, die dieses Problem, so wie Sie es schildern, nicht hatten und unseren Garten sehr gerne genutzt und genossen haben. Unser Garten ist von jeder Wohnung aus problemlos zu erreichen. Einmal vor die Haustüre treten, zehn Schritte über einen gepflasterten Weg und schon sind Sie in einem wunderschönen Garten, der zusätzlich über zwei separat gepflasterte Flächen mit großen Holzbänken und Holztischen verfügt.
Wie man auf dem Lageplan erkennen kann, liegt unser Haus an einer Landesstraße. Leute, die privat sehr abgelegen wohnen, mögen den Verkehr vielleicht als unangenehm wahrnehmen. Landwirtschaftlicher Verkehr gehört natürlich zu Ostfriesland, sonst wäre es nicht Ostfriesland.

Das Haus ist super schön und wirklich sehr sehr sauber. Es fehlt an nichts auch ich würde mein Haus so einrichten also wirklich toll. Der Garten ist groß und bietet auch echt Platz zum spielen, unsere Kinder haben Fussball und Federball gespielt. Auch gegrillt haben wir, die tollen Geräte dafür sind auch vorhanden. Das Haus ist ein wenig abseits, was bedeutet das mann halt stehts mit dem Auto fahren muss, erreicht aber alles in wenigen Minuten. Leider hatten wir mit dem Wetter weniger Glüch, dass man aber einplant wenn man an die Nordsee fährt :). Also im großen und ganzen ein schöner Urlaub mit einer tollen Unterkunft und geben somit 4,5 von 5 Sternen.
