Mittenwald is germanys highest health city. The famous violine city are located in the Werdenfelser Land, 20 km south of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The Alpenwelt Karwendel is a mountain paradies with a fascinating landscape in the northern alps.
The healthy and fresh air between 868 and 1020 Meter above sealevel guarantee a relaxing atmopshäre with natural lakes who welcome you to relax there.
A mecca for cyclists and walkers of any kind does not matter if extreme biker or enjoy cycling whether sport climbers, nordic walkers and ramblers, everybody gets their money.
You can as swimming, sailing, surfing, paragliding, horseback riding, canoeing, archery, tennis or golf or horse-drawn carriage driving.

from Munich - A-95 Garmisch-Partenkirchen - B 2 direction Innsbruck - leave Mittenwald North - after the city sign turn to the Mühlfeldstraße. Follow the street Tiefkarstraße. At the end of the street turn left to the Dammkarstraße. Opposite Fahrrad Frank cross the bridge and turn at the end to the left side. Follow the street until Haus Erli. You will find House Erli on the left side.

Wir konnten mit zwei kleinen Kindern und zwei Hunden eine schöne Urlaubswoche in Mittenwald verbringen. In der FeWo hatten wir alles, was wir benötigt haben. Die Küche ist zwar sehr klein, aber um Frühstück und Brotzeit vorzubereiten, vollkommen ausreichend. Dafür war im Wohnzimmer sowie auf der Terrasse ausreichend Platz! Auch der Brötchenservice hat super funktioniert.
Die Lage ist ruhig, mit schönem Blick auf den Karwendel. Zur Innenstadt muss man den Fußmarsch allerdings in Kauf nehmen.
Ansonsten top! Den Wellnessbereich können wir nicht beurteilen, da gerade geschlossen. Verbesserungsvorschlag: Der Garten könnte etwas gepflegter/blühender sein, die Blumenkästen kamen etwas traurig daher.
