Campen is located in the municipality of Krummhörn in East Frisia and is surrounded by several interesting places: • Greetsiel (approx. 10 km west): A picturesque fishing village with a historic harbor, twin windmills, and many traditional tea rooms. • Pilsum Lighthouse (approx. 7 km west): Known as the “Otto Lighthouse” from the Otto films – a popular photo spot. • Emden (approx. 12 km southeast): The largest city in the region, featuring an art gallery, harbor, and Volkswagen factory. • Rysum (approx. 8 km south): One of the most beautiful circular mound villages (Warfendörfer) in East Frisia, home to one of the oldest playable organs in the world. • Pewsum (approx. 6 km southwest): The main town of Krummhörn, with Manninga Castle and a windmill museum. • Knock (approx. 15 km southwest): A coastal area at the mouth of the Ems River with views of the Dutch coastline. The surrounding region is characterized by flat marsh landscapes, dikes, small mound villages, and many historical sights – perfect for cycling and exploring!

Es ist ein toller ruhiger Ort an dem man die Füsse gut hochlegen und die Seele gut baumeln lassen kann. Super nette Gastgeber. Die Terrasse ist bei schönem Wetter das Highlight.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in dieser geräumigen und liebevoll eingerichteten Ferienwohnung! Mit 82 qm bietet sie viel Platz, ideal mit Kind, da genug Spielfläche vorhanden ist. Die Lage ist perfekt für entspannte Tage an der Nordsee: Der Strand ist nur 6,6 km entfernt, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants sind gut erreichbar. Wir sind oft mit dem Fahrrad zur Knock gefahren, auch bei kühlerem Wetter kam Urlaubsstimmung auf. Besonders schön war es am Strand oder im Restaurant Strandlust. Für kleine Ausflüge empfehlen wir Birgits Tiergarten, Greetsiel oder das Ihler Meer. Die Gastgeber waren super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein rundum perfekter Ort zum Erholen, wir kommen gerne wieder!
