1. Circle route from Fenarupt, distance 7.6km
From our farm, walk down the road and then immediately up the dirt road, past our farm and continue for 200 m.
Walk to the edge of the forest to enjoy a beautiful view of Ste Marie au Mines.
Retrace your steps and take the path that leads 180° up the mountainside.
Continue to Place des Tilleuls.
Pass the picnic area and continue on level ground.
After a while the path crosses an old path and begins to descend to the main path Chemin du Fenarupt.
At the bend, take the lower path for 500 m and then the path that goes up to the left and leads to a wider path that takes you to the Grand Plaine.
Continue right along the wide, level path and then, a little further on, take the path that descends on the left and leads you to the Roche des Corbeaux.
Turn right under the rock and follow the path down towards the valley. At the bridge, turn left and go down.

Lovingly renovated farm in a quiet, standalone location on the edge of the woods on the border between Alsace and the Vosges with a fantastic view of the meadows, forests and down into the valley towards the town of Sainte-Marie-Aux-Mines (only a 5-minute drive). Directly from the farm you can access various hiking trails, ideal for hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, sledding...; cross-country skiing and downhill skiing are also nearby.
Swimming lakes within 40-45 minutes by car.
By car:
Coming from Sainte Marie Aux Mines, head towards Col de Sainte Marie Aux Mines (St. Dié). Do not go through the tunnel!
Drive almost through the entire town until you reach an intersection (on the left there is a large car park and on the right at the corner there is a cafe/antique shop called "Cafe de La Marne"). Turn right here (sign for "Hôpital", the town's retirement home). Immediately after the retirement home on the left, a narrow, asphalt road goes up in the middle of the meadow. Continue up this asphalt road (keep left and do not continue on the gravel road!). Then drive straight to our farm!
Winter: Please be aware that there may be snow and ice. Consider good winter equipment for your car – winter tyres and snow chains.
