Accommodation Terms and Conditions
Dear Guest,
Please carefully read the following accommodation terms and conditions, which govern the legal relationship between you and the accommodation provider. They also form part of the mediation agreement concluded with Föhr Tourismus GmbH (hereinafter referred to as the “Mediation Agency”) as an intermediary of tourist services.
1. Mediation Services
The Mediation Agency facilitates accommodation services via an electronic reservation system but does not provide its own services. The accommodation contract is exclusively between the guest and the accommodation provider, with the Mediation Agency acting solely as an intermediary. The booking confirmation specifies the scope of the services provided. Any additional agreements require confirmation.
2. Booking and Contract Conclusion
The guest makes a binding offer to the accommodation provider and the Mediation Agency by booking. Bookings can be made online, by mail, fax, phone, or in person. The contract is concluded upon acceptance by the Mediation Agency, with confirmation sent electronically or in writing. Personal data is protected in accordance with legal regulations.
3. Payment
Payments are made directly to the accommodation provider unless otherwise agreed. For bookings made at least 14 days before arrival, a 20% deposit is required within 7 days, with the balance due 14 days before arrival. For bookings within 14 days of arrival, full payment is required immediately.
4. Cancellation Policy
Guests can cancel at any time by notifying the accommodation provider, preferably in writing. The provider is entitled to the agreed price minus any savings or alternative rentals. Savings are typically estimated as follows: holiday apartments (no meals) 90%, bed & breakfast 80%, half board 70%, full board 60%. Guests can provide proof of lower costs to reduce or avoid cancellation fees. Travel cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.
5. Liability
The Mediation Agency is only responsible for proper mediation, not the execution of services. Liability is limited to gross negligence and intent, excluding minor negligence (except for injuries to life, body, or health). Claims must be directed to the accommodation provider.
6. Guest Obligations
Guests must promptly report any deficiencies to the accommodation provider. The number of occupants must not exceed the agreed amount. Pets are only allowed if explicitly agreed upon.
7. Check-in and Check-out Times
Check-in is from 4:00 PM unless otherwise agreed. Late arrivals must be communicated in advance. Check-out must be completed by 10:00 AM on the day of departure.
8. Severability Clause
If any provision of these terms is found invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected and valid under statutory regulations.
9. Jurisdiction
Legal disputes must be filed at the Mediation Agency’s registered office, unless the guest is a merchant or resides abroad, in which case the Mediation Agency’s location will apply.

Holiday destination
As the name “Midlum” suggests, the small village is centrally located in the middle of the island of Föhr.
Our house is situated in a quiet location on the outskirts of the village, nestled among historic thatched-roof houses along a private road.
In Midlum, you can enjoy traditional cuisine at two charming restaurants: “Midlumer Grog” and “Lütt Gasthus,” which is just 200 meters from the house and also offers a takeout menu.
The nearest bakery is located 800 meters away in the neighboring village of Alkersum.
