The house is located on the shore in the town of Kopperby, surrounded by nice houses and close to the Schlei river.
In the town of Kappeln you are able to get the maritime feeling. Fishing, fishing boats, old tubs, and steam boats bring a great attitude to the town. On the shore are many restaurants and tourist boats take you on trips on the Schlei. A museum tells a maritime story.
Right next dor you can find the Steamtrain which departs towards Süderbrarup. The city centre is also worth a visit. You can wander from store to store, have some ice cream from the local ice cream stores, cafés and small restaurants. There is also a lot of culture to experience such as the art house Hänisch, Nikolai church, Koslowski Hall, and Capitol movie theatre.

Coming from the A7: direction to Schlewig Schuby, to Kappeln, over the bridge to Kopperby, turn right into the Uferweg.

Wir waren mit unseren Zwillingen (8) und Tochter (1) zu Gast in diesem Haus und haben uns rund um wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist sehr durchdacht und umfassend eingerichtet, es gibt nicht nur Hochstuhl und Babybett, sondern auch diverse Spielsachen für alle Altersklassen. Für uns sehr wichtig war das umzäunte Grundstück, so dass die kiddys nicht auf die Straße (30 Zone) laufen können. Das Haus ist herrlich ruhig, die Schlei nur wenige Meter entfernt. Oft waren wir dort am kleinen Strand und haben die Füße gebadet und Krebse eher erfolglos aber mit viel Spaß gekeschert. Der Rasen bietet Platz zum Spielen, aber Achtung, einmal am Tag fährt für eine kurze Zeit der rasenmähroboter, dann sollte man das Spielzeug besser wegräumen. Gerne kommen wir wieder und empfehlen dieses Smuke Huus am Ostseefjord Schlei weiter.

Der Name klingt etwas kompliziert, aber ansonsten ist das ein sehr schönes Ferienhaus mit schleiblick, das wir mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen können. Die Abwicklung über die Agentur Designer tours lief problemlos, freundlich und zuvorkommend, das Haus war wohltuend sauber (da haben wir schon ganz andere, wenig empfehlenswerte Standards in Dänemark kennengelernt) und liegt ruhig in einem gehobenen Wohngebiet. Besonders schön fanden wir die Loggia im Dachgeschoss , von der aus wir das Wasser sehen, dabei Kaffee trinken konnten und trotzdem im April nicht frieren mussten.
