The beautiful old town was separated from the mainland by a canal by the Romans, and crossing the bridge immerses yourself in the city's exciting history. Narrow, romantic streets, historic squares and a beautiful promenade led to the entire old town being declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Shops and small shops invite you to stroll and the restaurants and typical taverns offer Mediterranean specialties and fresh fish dishes.
