Set in the middle of an olive grove above the bay of Komos, Villa Elia with its adjoining studio was completed in 2024.
The main house covers an area of 150 m² and can accommodate up to six guests. It has three bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, a fully equipped open kitchen, and a spacious living/dining area.
The spacious outdoor area offers various places to relax.
Sunny and shady spots, a lounge, and the heated 9 × 4 m waterfall pool leave nothing to be desired.
A BBQ area with outdoor kitchen, including gas grill, refrigerator, counter, and large dining table are ideal for socialising with family and friends.
The outdoor bathroom has a toilet, hand basin, and shower.
The fantastic view of the Libyan Sea makes every sunset a truly special experience.
A few metres away is the 50 m² studio, which offers space for up to two additional guests.
It is equipped with a fully equipped kitchen, a living room, a bedroom, and a bathroom.
Outside there is a private overflow pool as well as a separate outdoor kitchen with gas grill and a dining table.
Because privacy is a top priority for our guests, the studio is available only when rented together with the villa.
Sustainability in Villa Elia:
Electricity generation – the photovoltaic system completely covers the energy needs of the villa.
Wastewater treatment – in the bio-septic system, waste water is treated and used to irrigate the gardens and olive trees.
Drinking water - both kitchens are equipped with osmotic filter systems for drinking water treatment.
Lugging around PET water bottles and the associated mountains of waste are a thing of the past.

For hiking enthusiasts, the island offers around 300 gorges to explore. Also cycling and aquatic sports are quite popular here.
If you want to explore the coast from the water, you can rent a boat (a boat license is not required).
Every year, sea turtles lay their eggs on the kilometre-long beach of Komos. Here, you have the unique opportunity to watch the little creatures leaving their nests and on their way to the open sea.
The archaeological sites of Festos, Gortys, and Agia Triada are in the immediate vicinity and provide insight into the Minoan culture.
Far away from mass tourism in the central south of Crete, the beach of Komos stretches for a length of about 4 km.
The small beach town of Kalamaki with its cafés, bars, and restaurants can be reached on foot in just a few minutes. Pitsidia is about a 15-minute walk away and offers everything from cosy to upscale restaurants as well as vegan cuisine. There is something here for every taste. Kamilari is about 4 km away. Restaurants, cafés, and a unique cocktail bar can be found here. Other charming villages such as Sivas, Vori, and Kouses are in the immediate vicinity.
Matala offers a lively nightlife and a wide range of restaurants and is about 6 km away.
From Heraklion Airport (HER), you can reach the villa in about 1 hour by car. The journey from Chania Airport (CHQ) takes about 2 hours.
A rental car is advantageous for the entire stay.
However, transfer by taxi or bus is also possible.
