There are also countless other organisms that you can discover in their natural environment.

Getting there
The ferry from Lauwersoog to Schiermonnikoog runs daily, the crossing takes about 40 minutes or half that time if you take the express service. Book your tickets via wpd.nl, where you can also find the timetable. There is also a water taxi that will take you across in 15 minutes: www.bms-bv.com/watertaxi-schiermonnikoog.
Once you have arrived on the island by ferry, the bus will be waiting for you. Take the bus that goes to ‘Badweg’; this is written on the front of the bus and get off at the ‘Boszicht’ stop. This is right outside the door!
The ticket can be paid for on the bus with a pin. Suitcases and pushchairs simply belong on the bus.
