September is the best time to observe cranes. The Baltic Sea with its beautiful beaches is only a 30-minute drive away. The beach at the bodden is only 200 metres away. Additional activities: - swimming - hiking in Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park - cycling tours along the bodden coast - horseback riding in the Recknitz valley or in Born auf dem Darß - water sports / surfing / kayaking - sightseeing flights in Barth - chilling on a Baltic Sea beach - massages, cosmetic treatments - Excursions to the artist colony of Ahrenshoop, the "Fischland and Darß" peninsula, "Rügen", the largest island in Germany, or city tours of Rostock, Warnemünde (cruise ship calls), Stralsund (Ozeaneum), day trips to Kühlungsborn, Heiligendamm and Bad Doberan (narrow-gauge railway "Molli")
Getting there
Arrival possible by car or bus. Train connection to Ribnitz - Darmgarten or Barth, then bus or taxi. Bus stop about 15 minutes on foot.
