INFORMATION FOR GOLFERS:
The 18-hole golf course in Cuxhaven is considered one of the most charming places in Germany! The 62-acre golf course was built in a typical North German landscape and is playable nearly all year. Beginners have the opportunity to book a different golf courses or improve their game through personal training and tips from professional golf trainers.

The North Sea spa Cuxhaven / Duhnen - which, because of its privileged location has been affectionately called 'the premier seat on the North Sea', has a lot to offer: Here you will find kilometre long sandy beaches, the seemingly endless landscape (walking!), a beautiful beach and promenade to stroll along and a vast network of hiking, walking and cycling paths. The northern seaside resort of Cuxhaven consists of different parts of town and seaside resorts; your town of Duhnen is in the heart of this long chain of spas. In Duhnen you have a very good infrastructure, a historic village, outstanding restaurants and extensive sports and leisure activities for young and old alike. Duhnen is also the most busy shipping lane in the world! More than 60,000 ships pass through 'the gateway to the world' each year. With an attractive and central location of your apartment, you are already right after a few minutes in Duhner center - the absolute center of the North Sea spa. Here you will find everything a vacationer's heart: So here waiting bars, cafés, ice cream parlors and restaurants (from bourgeois, typical North German, internationally to luxurious fine dining with two Michelin stars), as well as numerous shops, department stores, boutiques, galleries and souvenir shops to be discovered by you. Port and shipping have in Cuxhaven / Duhnen tradition and give the place a typical broadcast. Mixed with the often luxurious Art Nouveau Duhnen is a high quality and incredibly diverse holiday destination, has still managed to keep the atmosphere "of the good old days."
BEACH AND RELAXATION:
In Duhnen the beach stretches as far as the eye can see - and is practicaly on your doorstep. The kilometer-long sandy beach, the Wadden Sea and the North Sea are quick and easy to get to from the apartment on foot in about 5-7 minutes. You simply cross the road and you are there in the middle of Duhner with the numerous beach access points.
Children and adults will find magnificent swimming in the calm and clean waters of Duhner beach. Paddle, swimming, building sand castles, diving, games, surfing, sailing, walking for hours or just relaxing on the sand or in your own beach chair (already included!) - you have the choice. Furthermore, there is a special and separately designed beach with activities and even a private 'stadium by the sea' where you will find different beach sport courts and from May to September, a regular activity and event program takes place.
MUDFLATS AND SEA (UNESCO world natural heritage):
In addition to the fantastic Duhner North Sea beach is the Wadden Sea, the absolute highlight of the region. At low tide you will have the unique opportunity to walk on the seabed and make interesting discoveries. In particular, it's worth a walk to the Prielen, where you can often take a relaxing bath in warm water. A walk in the mud flats is also very healthy and awakens all organisms of the body. We also recommend you take part in one of the many mudflat tours. These range from guided tours for nature lovers and family outings. In addition, at various dates in the year there are special event tours with Neptune baptism, etc. You also have the opportunity to take a horse-drawn carriage and wagon across the Wadden Sea to explore and to take a trip along the sea floor to Neuwerk Island.
PORT AND FLAIR - TYPICAL NORTH GERMAN:
Cuxhaven is often called the "gateway to the wide world. 'Finally, there are several major ports such as the port, the port and the U.S. Cutter & fishing port. Getting there
Popular excursions include inter alia Castle Ritzebüttel the Natureum Niederelbe, the Cuxhaven zoo, trips to Helgoland (duty-free shopping!), Bremerhaven (including air house, Emigration Center, Sea Zoo, Phänomenta, several shopping centers) and the Hanseatic cities of Bremen, Stade and Hamburg.
Since your holiday place is located at Cuxhaven Weltschifffahrtsweg, directly from the beach and the promenade from several large cruise ships and watch other "pots". It is also possible to travel by boat. A ferry terminal is located near center of Cuxhaven.
Travelling by car to Cuxhaven: (end of motorway) A1 to Bremer Kreuz, then A27 via Bremerhaven Cuxhaven
Travelling by train to Cuxhaven: regional station directly in Cuxhaven. (Incidentally, good rail connections for trips to Bremerhaven, Bremen, Hamburg and Stade!).
