Other recreational opportunities
Hiking around or to the top of many volcanos is beautiful. Lanzarote is very bicycle friendly. Swimming, snorkeling; scoober - diving, surfing, wind - surfing kite - surfing. Jogging from the finca through the Salinas Janubio to the black beach.
Holiday destination
Absolute peace and quiet - detached old houses 100-500 metres distance. View of the sea and the volcanoes - lava landscape. 20 minutes by car to dream sandy beaches - 10 minutes to the next village. Visit the house and all the buildings planned by Caesar Manrique, gardens, museums, restaurants! Drive over the island - enjoy a sip (or more) of the special wine on the journey through the unique vineyards of La Geria.
Getting there
With planes to Arrecife - including Ryanair! A rental car is highly recommended. Bus stop 300 m in front of the Finca. Caution: the beach behind the salt works is dangerous. Only suited for strong swimmers. Not for children.

Die Lage der Finca, der Ausblick auf das Meer, der Sonnenuntergang und die Salz-Saline Janubio sind absolut genial. Das Haus ist rustikal und hat eine ungewohnte Einteilung (z.B. 2tes WC und Dusche *im* Durchgang vom Wohnzimmer zum Patio mit anschliessender Küche mit Haupteingang) . Leider ist das Innere der Finca etwas ungepflegt. Die Sauberkeit in Badezimmer und Küche liess zu wünschen übrig. Nichts, was man nicht beheben konnte, aber halt nicht so, wie wir das als (zahlende) Gäste erwarten (und handhaben) würden. Die Betten waren gross, sauber und bequem (eher hart). Der Kontakt mit dem Gastgeber war nett, die Kommunikation und das Handling fünktionierten gut. Insgesamt durchaus ein Aufenthalt wert, man sollte sich aber der oben genannten Einschränkungen bewusst sein.

Wir haben unseren Urlaub in den ersten zwei Novemberwochen sehr genossen und können die Finca gut weiterempfehlen. Schöner Aus- und Weitblick über die Salinen, den Atlantik und die Lavafelder aus dem schönen Panoramafenster im Wohnzimmer. Ruhige Lage, die Häuser in der Nachbarschaft nimmt man kaum wahr. Morgendliches Frühstück auf der vorderen Terrasse, um zu beobachten, wie die Sonne über den Vulkan hervorlugt und die Insel in eine angenehme Wärme hüllt. Mit einem Auto (oder Fahrrad), kann man sehr entspannt über die Insel fahren, und die Sehenswürdigkeiten besuchen. Wenn es sich wieder mal ergibt, würden wir auf jeden Fall gerne wieder bei Herrn Dr. Eichhorn in der Finca unseren Urlaub verbringen wollen. Viele Grüße aus Hamburg Familie L.
