The modern Villa is settled in the small village of Barban, on the eastern coast of Istria. This remarkable area is known for its beautiful untouched nature, the mild green hills guarding the stunning Blaz bay and its freshwater springs, ancient watermills and the breathtaking sights on the old Trget, sea, and islands. It is exactly here where the famous legend of the lost crown of king Tomislav is born, the hidden treasure that is still to be found. The villa is located only a mile from the beach and the serene waters. The old mill roads are leading in almost every direction of Istria and they can be explored by cycling, hiking or long relaxing walks. The ancient spirit of Mediterranean is felt in every part of this wonderful corner of the world, through the rich history, its kind people and the excellent cuisine that combines the best that soil and sea can provide. This part is perfect for discovering not only the small charming stone towns on the coast but also the colorful inland with its historical wonders. The short drive will bring you the magical Svetvincenat and its glorious castle, the stunning remains of the old Rakalj castle and hidden beaches, proud Barban and charming Žminj and the famous 3000-year-old Pula with its many historical sights, shops, and restaurants.
