Holiday destination
The “Alte Diele Osterbyholz,” Wohldwisch Farm, is located between the Schlei (Haithabu, Schleswig, Kappeln), the Baltic Sea (Eckernförde), the Wittensee, the Hüttener Berge Nature Park (Bistensee), not far from the Schwansen peninsula (Waabs, Damp) and the Danish Wohld in the midst of agricultural nature, with wonderful hiking, cycling and riding trails through fields, forests and meadows.
Flensburg and Kiel are both about 30 minutes away. And even the North Sea is not very far away (approx. 1 hour by car)
Getting there
From the south via the A7, exit Rendsburg/Büdelsdorf B203 direction Eckernförde, exit Groß Wittensee, direction Damendorf, then direction Osterby/Osterbyholz.
From the north via the A7, exit Owschlag, L265 towards Eckernförde, at Osterby turn right towards Osterbyholz.
From Kiel or Schleswig via the B76 to Eckernförde, then via the L265 towards A7/Owschlag, at Osterby turn left to Osterbyholz.

Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Unser Wunsch war es, Ausflüge mit dem Rad zu machen, am Strand zu liegen, Freunde zu treffen und den Alltag aus zu blenden. Die Lage ist perfekt für Radtouren an die Schlei, in die Hüttener Berge, in den Naturpark Westensee, auch Eckernförde, Schleswig und Kiel sind schnell erreichbar. Das besondere aber ist die unglaubliche Ruhe, die dieser Ort ausstrahlt. Frühstück im großen Garten, mit einem Buch im Schatten unterm alten Reetdach, abends grillen, das geht sehr gut. Und für Regentage bietet die Ferienwohnung eine tolle Küche, viel Platz auf zwei Ebenen und eine sehr geschmackvolle Ausstattung zum Wohlfühlen. Es ist an alles gedacht und die Gastgeber haben uns sehr herzlich und aufmerksam empfangen. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt, außer an mehr Zeit.

Vielen Dank für Euer wunderbares Feedback ... gerade auch weil es während Eures Aufenthaltes ja wirklich häufig und auch mal heftig geregnet hat. Bei einem Mix aus "drinnen und draußen" kommt das ganze "Paket" der Wohnung, des Gartens und der Umgebung offenbar noch mehr zum Tragen. Wie schön ist das denn.
Und wenn wir dann so angenehme, interessierte und wache Gäste wie Euch haben ... da geht das Herz einfach auf.
Morgens um 07:00, bei einem ersten Gang zu den Pferden, im Augenwinkel jemanden mit einer Tasse Kaffee im Garten sitzend, offensichtlich sehr zufrieden, wahrzunehmen ... das ist einfach auch ein Geschenk für uns.

P.S. der Honig vom Westensee schmeckt übrigens hervorragend.
