Cancellation policy
Hof aan Zee recommends taking out travel cancellation insurance when booking. Cancellations must be confirmed in writing by the tenant. The cancellation fee is 40% of the total rent from the time of booking. In the event of cancellation within 4 weeks before the start of the stay, the full rental price is due. If the stay is terminated early, the full rent is due. A refund of the rent or any part of it is not possible.
If Hof aan Zee has to terminate a rental agreement due to unforeseen circumstances or force majeure, the tenant will be offered an equivalent alternative. If this is not possible, Hof aan Zee will refund the rent already paid, but without compensation for damages of any kind.
Hof aan Zee is for relaxation and recreation. We expect you to respect nature and the purpose of the park as well as the wishes and needs of other guests.
It is not permitted to sublet the rental property to third parties or to allow more people to stay in the rental property than agreed in this contract.
You are obliged to use the rental property properly and to leave it in good condition and tidy. Any imperfections or additional cleaning costs can be charged.

Hof aan Zee is located at the foot of the dunes, nestled in greenery. After a short walk through the dunes, you'll find yourself standing with both feet in the sand, able to enjoy a beautiful sunset.
Zoutelande is just a 15-minute bike ride away, and Westkapelle and Domburg are also close by. In the other direction, you can reach the Vlissingen Boulevard or cycle further into the historic city of Middelburg.

Host information'Hof Aan Zee' is not your typical Zeeland farm. The low, sprawling farmstead with a thatched roof tells a unique story. Hof Aan Zee is an emergency farm from the period shortly after World War II (1946). Back then, with Scandinavian support (and also following Scandinavian models), a number of these (provisional) farms were built in Zeeland to get agriculture back on track as quickly as possible after the war. In 1948, Lein and Agnes Goedbloed purchased Hof Aan Zee. Together with his wife, he transformed it into one of the first holiday destinations in Walcheren: 't Hof. In the early 1950s, they welcomed their first guests in the farmhouse and some wooden cottages. Jan and Agatha Goedbloed then took over 't Hof, but never lived there themselves. However, their only son, Rob Goedbloed, was often found at 't Hof with his grandfather Lein. Together with his wife Evelien Goedbloed (Irma's parents), they ran 't Hof for 37 years.
