Holiday destination
The spacious and very comfortably furnished holiday apartment is located in the monastery village of Ettal with its world-famous Benedictine monastery. Surrounded by numerous mountains (e.g. Laber, Ettaler Mandl, Ziegelspitze, Notkarspitze, Ochsensitz, ...) the accommodation offers a starting point for numerous possible day hikes. Another destination for culture enthusiasts is certainly Linderhof Castle. Garmisch-Partenkirchen can be reached in about 15 minutes by car.
Getting there
You can reach the "Bergangerl" from Munich by driving on the A95 from Munich in the direction of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The A95 motorway flows into the B2 federal highway. Now drive to Oberau and follow the signs to Ettal (B 23). After the Ettal town sign, turn right onto “Alte Bergstraße”. The "Bergangerl" is on the right-hand side (Alte Bergstraße 6).
You can take the train to Oberau or Oberammergau. You can now travel to Ettal by public transport. The bus stop is only about 100m away from the “Bergangerl”.
