Holiday destination
In the magical “Kaiserwinkl” at the foot of the “Wild and Zahmer Kaiser” you can enjoy real Tyrolean hospitality. The towns of Walchsee, Kössen, Schwendt and Rettenschöss have everything you need for an active or relaxing holiday. There are endless leisure activities available here in every season, partly in untouched nature. Skiing takes place in Walchsee or Kössen. The approximately 120 km long cross-country ski trail network is a paradise and runs through the entire Kaiserwinkl. Winter hiking trails, snowshoe tours, sledding, ice skating and curling - “Heart, what more could you want?” The summer fun begins in spring when the three golf courses Walchsee-Moarhof”, “Kaiserwinkl Golf Kössen” and “Reit im Winkl-Kössen” resume play. Summer tobogganing, archery, hiking, mountain biking, horse riding and much more are on offer. If you like something a little more adventurous, you will get your money's worth with a paragliding flight from the Unterberghorn or with rafting and canyoning. The Walchsee, known for its high water quality, invites you to spend an enjoyable day swimming. Or should it be a little more active? Then you have the opportunity to water ski, surf or train your fitness with stand-up paddling. Food and drink, as they say in Tyrol, keep body and soul together. In the restaurants, huts and mountain inns you can often find very special, traditional dishes. The cuisine at Kaiserwinkl is tasty and varied. Interested in culture? Munich, Salzburg and Innsbruck can be reached from here in 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
