From the house, you have direct access to the hiking trails of the Poggio Neri Nature Park, which you can even explore on horseback. Alternatively, you can extend your hikes to Monte Calvi, Suvereto, or even to Campiglia Marittima.

Villa Il Castagno is located about 800 meters from the center of the small, picturesque, medieval village of Sassetta. Here you will find restaurants with typical regional cuisine and everything you need for daily life. About 200 meters from the holiday home, there is a restaurant. The sea and the pine forests of Marina di Castagneto are only about 15 km away, and the beautiful beaches of Baratti and Populonia with their Etruscan excavations are similarly close. The Sassetta thermal baths are only about 7 km away. The location is an ideal starting point for trips to Volterra, Siena, Massa Marittima, or into the Maremma.
