Holiday destination
The greenest, most varied and mountainous landscapes are in the west of Crete. Many gorges run through the mountain ridges and invite you to wonderful hikes. Elafonisi is known for its beautiful sandy beaches with pink and coral colored sand and the crystal clear turquoise waters that gently lap the lagoon.
Getting there
With your own vehicle or rental car. A vehicle is highly recommended. There is also a bus connection to Kissamos or Chania, where the nearest airport is.
