Cancellation policy
a. For bookings made more (>) than four (4) weeks before the start of the rental period, a provisional reservation of seven (7) days applies initially. No other letting of the holiday home by the landlord will take place during this period.
b. Within these seven (7) days, a deposit of 25% of the rental price is due. If the down payment in the corresponding amount is received punctually on the specified account, the reservation shall be deemed to be binding. Otherwise the landlord immediately has the right to let the holiday home to someone else.
c. If the booking is cancelled up to the 28th day before the start of the rental period, the deposit of the rental price will be refunded.
d. Otherwise, four (4) weeks before the start of the rental period, the balance of the rental price, the deposit and the visitor's tax will be due.
e. If the balance/payment of the rent, deposit & tourist tax amount is not received on time in the specified account, the landlord has the immediate right to rent the holiday home to someone else. A refund of the deposit will not be made in this case, the balance/payment of the rent remains due for payment by the tenant in principle.
f. If the tenant wishes to cancel the holiday home after the expiry of the free cancellation period, no refund will be made.
g. In cases e. and f., the landlord shall make every effort to let the holiday home to another tenant in the corresponding period and, if successful, to refund the payments already made in full or in part according to the amount of the success of the letting to another tenant in the corresponding period or to reduce the outstanding claims.

The local visitor's tax will be charged additionally per person and day according to current rates.
Some of the leisure activities can start right on the doorstep (jogging, hiking, mountain biking, cycling, etc.). Some are within easy walking distance in Hinterzarten (playground, ski museum, tennis, tobogganing, etc.). Others can be reached by public transport or car in the immediate vicinity (Titisee - swimming, high ropes course, boat trips, golf, etc.; - Schluchsee - swimming, boat trips, etc.; Feldberg - skiing, indoor playground, etc.) or further afield (Freiburg, Triberg, etc.).
Holiday destination
The holiday house is in a quiet and beautiful location, away from traffic, on the edge of a small wood called "Herchenwäldle", not far from the center of Hinterzarten. The center of Hinterzarten and the railway station can be reached easily on foot in about 10 minutes through the "Herchenwäldle".
Within sight of the house, approx. 100 m away, there is a sunbathing area, a sunbathing lawn, a Kneipp facility, a generation park and a nature experience and barefoot path. This is a wonderful place to relax and go for a walk. The paths along the Zartenbach stream are in the immediate vicinity.
In summer, you can easily reach numerous walking, running and hiking trails, Nordic walking and mountain bike routes for all levels of difficulty nearby.
In winter you benefit from the location of the holiday house close to the cross-country ski trail, which passes about 100 m from the house. You can also reach the „Thoma Alpine Ski Center“ by car within a short drive. If the snow conditions are good, downhill runs from there to our house are possible.
The Feldberg ski area can be reached by car in approx. 20-30 minutes or alternatively by public transport from Hinterzarten train station.
The holiday house is perfectly situated in a quiet location, yet close to all important destinations such as the town center with Kurhaus etc. and offers an all-round ideal starting point for an eventful and relaxing vacation in the southern Black Forest.
Hinterzarten itself is located 25km east of Freiburg, half an hour travel by car or city railway through the beautiful „Höllental“ (Hell Valley), exciting for many travellers because of „Hirschsprung“ cliff narrow and Ravenna Viaduct railway bridge.
Also trips to Switzerlander with cities like Basel and Zurich as well France with destinations like Alsace, Colmar or Strasbourgh.
Getting there
By train via Freiburg or Donaueschingen and then with the S-Bahn (suburban railway)
By car via the A5 to Freiburg or via the A81 then via the B31 towards Freiburg to Hinterzarten.

Sehr schönes, gepflegtes Ferienhaus in ruhiger Lage, doch ist man schnell im Ort und am Bahnhof.
Es gibt gute Bahn- und Busverbindungen, deshalb kann das Auto stehen bleiben.
Wir haben uns im Haus sehr wohl gefühlt und können es uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.
