Getting there
From the north you drive via Gotthard or St. Bernhardino. Along the Lago Maggiore you come to Luino. At Germignaga you drive about 10 minutes up the hill to the «Villaggio Olandese». (You will receive detailed directions when booking.)
By train from Zurich HB – Luino, 2h 37m, Luino – Villagio Olandese 3.5 km. The train connection is suitable for those arriving later/departing earlier.

Die Unterkunft ist traumhaft schön gelegen mit Blick über den See und in die Berge. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Gerne wieder!

Der Ort ist erstaunlich! Ich ging mit einem Freund und wir hatten eine gute Zeit. Der Blick auf den Lago Maggiore, sowohl bei Sonnenaufgang und vor allem Sonnenuntergang, ist erstaunlich. Außerdem ist die Ruhe fast die ganze Zeit über etwas Unvergessliches, und der Ort liegt in einer Gegend, in der man mit ein bisschen körperlichem Einsatz alles leicht erkunden kann ;). Selbst für die Winterzeit (Februar) war das Wetter ganz ok.
Der einzige wichtige Rat, den ich geben kann, ist: *Gehen Sie und bewegen Sie sich* mit dem Auto. Es ist zwar möglich, zu Fuß hin und her zu gehen (von Luino zum Haus), aber die körperliche Erschöpfung beim Auf- und Abstieg kann einen sehr schnell auslaugen. Außerdem kann der Zugfahrplan ziemlich eng sein, so dass das Auto die beste Option ist.
